Mauritian's talent

Mauritians are not aware of all the resources we possess, in terms of music of course. It's been 3 years already that I'm totally in love with mauritian music, not séga! We saw a lot of resto/pub emerged these last years which permit our musicians to perform and to be known. For example there was 'Le Bambous' which was very famous a year ago, BarAbar, Le Sapin CaféCulture which is now full every week and there are lot more which are opening because there is a big demand for it.
There is this group 'Etaé' that I discovered at Le Sapin, I am a huge fan now, there have this talent to incorporate african sounds mixed with mauritian rythm and colours from other cultures which makes you travel only by listening to it and invites you to dance!

GOOOOOD NEWS

On the 28th of May, Susheela Raman will be at the MGI (moka) for a one and only concert! OHMYGOOOD, I'm a huge fan. This forms part of my to-do list before dying and it should be yours too!
I already bought my ticket, thank God, it was the last one. I'm gonna post some photos and impressions after THE event!

Introduction

So I finally created my blog (eww, I've always criticized the blogosphere), I must say that I did not created it because I wanted to, I am forced to. This is because of my Web Communications assignment, we are supposed to create four web presences. As this is supposed to be as assignment 'autant joindre l'utile à l'agréable!' I chose a musical theme, it may seem trivial or common but this is one my passion and I wanted to share it with you. I'm gonna talk about what I appreciate or not, share some videos or pictures and also talk about upcoming events on the island.
World music is not about the genre, it's about the literal meaning; the world's music, different sounds, percussion, tones influenced by different cultures, barriers are melting and this is good news for our ears. So here is video that I appreciate a lot :
